三月想體驗香港文化,於是走去逛逛石硤尾,因為此地有美荷樓-昔日公屋生活的印記。

美荷樓生活館是「活化歷史建築伙伴計劃」的其中一個項目,所以裡面有青年旅舍,

下面這位就是歡迎你到來的小熊啦。

因為好奇,我偷偷聽櫃台小姐講電話,發現原來旅舍收費也不便宜。

不過可能是我不熟悉商業市場走勢,才有錯覺… …

你們也知道,現在香港的旅館酒店價格應該很很很貴,

所以才有這麼多年輕朋友選擇青年旅舍,看看以下的墊檯貨幣,就知道這裡客人多麼國際化!

你看到下圖牆上的”壁報”嗎?這裡有美荷樓舊居民口述四十多個歷史故事,和他們提供的昔日照片和家具。原來大導演吳宇森都曾是當中的鄰居。(小腳板大發現)

以前屋村的兒童設施多簡單,但是他們玩得似乎很投入開心。

如果小時候的腳板,一定最愛 “穿隧道”, 彷彿穿過就可以到另一個世界……

走到累,看到口渴,都不怕,這裡有餐廳,還有賣懷舊東西的小店,可以歇歇腳,買買兒時的小玩意。

{littlefoot littleenglish: Mei Ho House museum (MHHM) is located at Shek Kei Mei, Hong Kong. The museum is one of the six-storey resettlement blocks built to resettle squatters who were left homeless after 1953 Christmas Fire.

The museum shows the history of Shek Kei Mei such as residents’ daily work and many piece of sharing from the old-residents. Surprisingly, there is free of charge. For visitors from foreign country, Mei Ho House is also youth hostel. By comparing foreign youth hostel, the price is a little bit higher, but the location is good for experiencing old-Hong Kong where near Sham Shui Po. }
